“Regan?” His voice no more than a whisper, she could hardly hear. “Do you want me to leave?”

Did she? No. “I’m afraid all of a sudden.” She laughed nervously. “I don’t know why.”

“It’s natural. You’ve never contemplated anythin’ like this, I reckon. Neither have I.” He ran his hand up and down her back. “I never thought I’d be here with you. Never thought you’d want a man like me. We don’t have to do anythin’, you know. Just lyin’ here with you is like heaven to me.”

And that was why she loved him, the selfless, good man. Why she wanted him beyond reason. Her doubts faded. True, what she and the men were creating wasn’t a work of fiction, but it was a fairy tale, their way to find happily ever after.

“Seth, if I have anything to say about it, we will not sleep much tonight.”

“No?” Hope and, yes, even a touch of amusement inflected his tone.

“It’s just”—she bit her bottom lip—“could I-could I hurt you? Hurt your arm?”

He kissed her forehead, her eyelids, her cheek and then pecked the tip of her nose. “Let me worry about that.”

With a twist of her body, she threaded her arms around his neck and draped her leg over his hip. “From now on, I worry about you, too. I give myself to you, as you give yourself to me. Neither of us is alone. None of us—Hay included.”

His kiss warmed her heart, and then struck a flame low in her belly. “Love me, Seth.” She hardly recognized her own throaty voice as she said the words.

“I do. I will.”

Without further preamble, he rolled her onto her back and knelt between her legs. With his penis he painted her clit with his own moisture. Trembling with the thrill that rushed through her, she thrust up, straining for more.

He touched her, sliding his finger inside.
